Although Chulalongkorn University, Social Research Institute (CUSRI) does not primarily focus on future studies, participating in the Asia Pacific Futures Network 10th Annual Conference brought attention to indigenous and ethnic communities and their contemplation of future pathways.

     1. Associate Professor Dr. Narumon Arunotai highlighted the importance of indigenous knowledge about the future of the Chao Lay (Sea People) communities.
     2. Lecturer Pakorn Lertsatienchai, Deputy Director of CUSRI (Academic Affairs), provided an overview of the institute’s interdisciplinary networks through local and indigenous knowledge, threats to biodiversity and cultural diversity, and perspectives on microorganisms, health, and medicine.
     3. Assistant Professor Dr. Carl Middleton presented on resource governance and its connection to developing future literacy skills. Professor Surichai Wun’Gaeo gave insights into the significant role academic institutions play in shaping a new generation with future-oriented skills.
