The use of community-led health impact monitoring database in risk communication to protect vulnerable groups from transboundary pollution in the case of HongSa Coal-fired Power Plant, Lao PDR

Details

1. To establish a platform collaborative aimed at enhancing the interconnectedness of transdisciplinary research initiatives and citizen scientist networks.
2. To establish and develop a proficient network of citizen scientists dedicated to health surveillance, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations such as mothers and children residing in areas susceptible to mercury contamination, and farmers impacted by acid gas exposure.
3. To facilitate the collaborative analysis and interpretation of data from the C-site Database between the transdisciplinary research network and the citizen scientist network, while also collaboratively generating content for risk communication.
4. To establish a policy dialogue platform for the exchange of guidelines and measures aimed at protecting vulnerable groups from the impacts of cross-border pollution.
