Established with the mission of generating knowledge that links policies and practical actions at the local level to empower sustainable restructuring of farmer societies. This includes creating research networks at both national and ASEAN levels under two primary objectives:

1. Developing Fundamental and Applied Research: Utilizing existing data, local knowledge, and exploring new insights to connect with the structural changes and adaptations of modern farmers.
2. Linking Research to Sustainable Policy Development: Implementing research findings to drive and sustain policy development, as well as continuously monitoring and reporting the impacts of state policies on farmers.
