🌍✨ On December 12, 2024, the Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute (CUSRI), in collaboration with Yunus Thailand and PXP Sustainability, hosted a seminar titled “ASEAN Plastic Reduction Interventions and Implementation Experiences from Thailand” at Social Innovation Hub, Chulalongkorn University.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Unruan Leknoi, Director of CUSRI, and Callum Mackenzie, Managing Director of Yunus Thailand, delivered the opening remarks.
📊 The seminar featured a presentation on collaborative research between Yunus Thailand and PXP Sustainability, which reviewed over 100 plastic reduction interventions in ASEAN. Additionally, a case study on waste separation behavior in Khlong Lat Luang communities, Samut Prakan Province, was presented by Chadalak Samritthinanta, a researcher from the Social Innovation and Sustainability for Vulnerable Groups Research Unit, CUSRI.
💡 Expert speakers included 🐟 Suwan Nanthasarut from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, 🌱 Boonchanit Wongprapinkul from WWF Thailand, 🌍 Raja Asvanon from the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), and other specialists. They shared insights on policy design and implementation related to plastic waste.
