First Citizen Science Festival: Active Learning for Health at Nan Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Pua District, Nan Province

Social Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University co-organized the “1st Citizen Science Expo: Active Learning for Health” at the Nan Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Pua District, Nan Province.
👩‍🏫 Somporn Phengkham and Dr. Montakan Chimmamee presented findings from the project “Utilizing Community-Based Health Impact Surveillance Databases for Risk Communication to Protect Vulnerable Groups from Transboundary Pollution” 🌍💨, funded by the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI). They hosted an exhibition and interactive activities to educate attendees on community monitoring and surveillance using community mapping tools 🗺️ and tracking agricultural yield variations.🌾📈
🎯 This event was initiated by the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (TPBS) through the Public Engagement and Network Office, the Center for Children and Learning Media, in collaboration with the Nan Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, the Faculty of Agricultural Resources at Chulalongkorn University, and other partner organizations🤝. The expo aimed to provide teachers, students, and the general public with opportunities to learn about citizen science 🧪🔍 and public communication for health and environmental surveillance 🌱.
