Chulalongkorn University Discusses Collaboration with Nobel Prize-Winning Economist Professor Muhammad Yunus
On April 3, 2025, at the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok, Professor Dr. Wilaet Phurivat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Associate Professor Dr. Aunruen Leknoi, Director of the Social Research Institute, met with Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist and Chairman of the Bangladesh Government Advisory Council, to discuss future collaboration.
Professor Yunus pioneered the concept of “social business” and founded the Yunus Social Business Centre, which signed an MOU with Chulalongkorn University’s Social Research Institute in 2024 to jointly drive social innovation and sustainable development in Thailand.
